Reflections Vol. 18: The Attack of the Thought Forms

A dense heaviness pressed down on me. Suffocating. Debilitating. It seemed to drain my energy for no obvious reason.

I love my life. I love where I live, the intense aliveness of Nature around me, a caring and…um…occasionally interesting community. I can be myself fearlessly, and enjoy who I am. Most of the time. However, I still hold residual insecurities from many years of programming. So when vibrations of the lower frequency range where shame, guilt, fear, insecurity, and the like pulse from the density, they find the echo in me. Ugh. Fortunately, years of learning to observe my thoughts helped me see that these were stimulated inside me but not originating inside me. So I watched. For you, too.

You can tell the difference when you tune in. Some thoughts originate inside you and some bombard you from the outside. The trouble is, there’s always a bit of inner resonance to the story a particular thought carries or you wouldn’t get triggered. How can there not be when these thought forms have been bombarding humanity for thousands of years? They’re imprinted in everyone’s genetic lineage.

So if they’re coming from outside your conscious awareness, where are they coming from?

The humanity-hating Dark side!

There are whole books discussing the where’s, how’s and why’s of that, but the point of this discussion is how to recognize what’s happening, what the intention is, and how to regain equilibrium and joy while in the trenches, so to speak.

These attacks are most often global. When I spoke with different people in different geographic locations on different continents, they were experiencing the same thing I was.

Messages like…

You’re too old. Nothing you do matters. The bad guys are too strong. Your so-called powers are a myth, a figment of your imagination. You might as well give up and die.

Nice, eh? And the purpose of this kind of attack? To make us all feel helpless, weak, impotent, unworthy, mistrustful of all the spiritual tools we know and trust.

Why? So that we don’t resist. We don’t take action. We don’t talk with others we trust about what’s happening and how we’re feeling – when such conversations are the very antidote to the poison. I t’s enough to make us want to quit when the truth is that we’re actually making significant progress simply by acknowledging the truth.

What are some of the other thought forms that disable us? Here are a few that are universal.

You’re bad. Totally unlovable. You don’t deserve to be alive and certainly no one really loves you. Love is an illusion anyway. No, you’re a nasty creature who was evil before you were even born. You deserved to suffer. You deserve to be punished. You deserve to be obliterated.

Sometimes these thoughts are attributed to a divine, off-planet creator being, who is also purported to love its creation, humanity. Does that sound like love to you? Would a loving parent want its children to suffer? Not likely. Not unless the creator being is psychotic and psychopathic. Especially not if its creation is supposed to be a mirror image of itself.

Love is a real thing and humanity – you – were created in love and are actually an aspect of Love. Factor in that we humans are awakening to the distortions we’ve bought into for generations that make us crazy, make us attack each other and even ourselves, and that twist our perceptions of this planet and everything on it. It makes a huge difference to see that those are not actually your own thoughts but a weapon intended to neutralize you at all levels.

This beautiful planet is clearly an alive, sentient Being. Otherwise, how would the air we breathe remain at the same mix of molecules essential for all life here? Life on earth is possible because of complex, layered interactions from the micro to the macro. Life is Beloved of a creator who carefully and lovingly designed us and everything else on this planet.

Defend yourself against the debilitating effects of an attack of thought forms.

  1. Admit what is happening.

  2. Allow the triggered emotions to move through you. Cry. Laugh. Give them voice, and only then…

  3. Permit distraction. Do what you know makes each moment come alive. Give yourself some R & R that will help restore you.

  4. Reveal to those you can trust what you struggle with. Don’t be surprised when your honesty is a gift to them as well. No one is immune to attacks of the thought forms.

  5. Determine where you will stand and fight and how you will go about it. Everyone does this differently. Find what works for you and do that.

  6. Invest time in the natural world. See its beauty. Feel its awareness of you. Allow mutual appreciation.

  7. Nurture your connection to Divine Source. Beauty is divine. Love is divine. Therefore Beauty is Love and Love is Beauty. Both are Divine. Your connection to your Source has been intentionally hampered, because your Source is where your power and willingness to act originate. The opponents to your health and well-being do NOT want you to live in glorious alignment with your Essence.
